FAQ’s wedding guest often have

Unless otherwise arranged, guests are responsible for their own expenses when attending a cruise wedding. This typically includes the cost of their cruise fare, transportation, and any hotel stays before or after the sailing. We’re here to make the process smooth and stress-free. Our team will assist your guests with booking and provide all the information they need so they can enjoy the celebration without any confusion.
Each cruise line has different types of packages. Each package is very clear on what it includes and what is extra. If you click the icon for Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyage on our website you will be directed to their current package breakdown in price. Cruise wedding costs can vary depending on the cruise line and the package you choose. Click the links below to see wedding packages that clearly outline what’s included — from ceremony venues and officiants to photography and flowers — as well as any additional costs for upgrades or extras.
Our services are completely complimentary to you. While we don’t work for free, the cruise lines compensate us through commission — which means they take care of us, so we can take care of you. This allows us to support you and your guests every step of the way without charging you any additional fees.
Yes! Cruise lines are very conscientious about making sure all guests are well cared for. Accessible cabins are available to accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility needs. If you require a CPAP machine, the cruise line can provide it along with the proper distilled water. On their private islands, many cruise lines also offer beach wheelchairs for easier access to the shore. Dietary restrictions are taken seriously as well — from allergies to special diets, the cruise lines work closely with guests to ensure safe and enjoyable dining experiences.
Many couples choose a long-weekend cruise for this very reason. There are plenty of Friday–Monday sailings that create a 4-day getaway while only requiring about two vacation days. It’s also worth noting that even for a traditional land-based wedding, guests often need to take a couple of days off for travel. A weekend cruise simply combines that time off with a memorable, all-in-one celebration and vacation experience.
Some cruise lines do offer the option to legally marry onboard. However, most couples choose to complete the legal paperwork at a courthouse before their sailing. This allows them to have the ceremony at sea or on the beach as a symbolic celebration, with the freedom to choose their own officiant — whether that’s a friend, family member, or someone special to them. If you decide on a legal wedding onboard, a ship staff member provided by the cruise line would serve as the officiant, rather than someone you personally select.
A cruise is perfect because it offers the best of both worlds — plenty of adventure and plenty of relaxation. If your group wants excitement, you can plan thrilling excursions together at port, such as swimming with dolphins, ziplining through the mountains, snorkeling, or exploring historic sites. Onboard the ship, there are endless options too — from rock climbing and waterslides to shows, games, and nightlife. Whether your guests want high-energy fun or laid-back relaxation, a cruise has something for everyone.
Traveling with a passport or passport card is ideal. If you do not have that, you need proof of citizenship (certified copy of your birth certificate) and identification (driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID); US citizens under 16 years old do not need a driver’s license, just proof of citizenship. If you are a citizen of a country outside the U.S., please check with the consulate of your country to determine exactly what is needed to visit the destinations you will be visiting on the cruise.
While cruises are a great opportunity to unplug, if you need to get online for work or other reasons, this is very doable. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity provide wi-fi packages tailored to the level of connection you desire and the number of devices you need. They work with cellular networks to provide the ability to connect your device through “cellular at sea.” There is a fee for this service and it varies based on the individual sailing you register for.
NONE! You do not need to spend a penny after registering and paying gratuities. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity both will have opportunities to spend money on items and experiences not included and that is up to your discretion. But, SO much is included! Everyone can enjoy a luxurious vacation without spending additional money.
Whether you are in the main dining room or eating in another venue offering complimentary meals, please note that you can literally eat as much as you want. For real! If you like two appetizers offered on the menu, get both! The same is true for entrees and desserts. In addition to the main dining room, buffet dining is also available offering an assortment of global cuisine and American favorites in a casual and comfortable atmosphere with spectacular ocean views. Ice-cream, pizza, and snacks can be found on the ships throughout the day and night. They are not only plentiful but also free! If your cruise sails to the private island of Coco Cay, you will be in for an incredible treat. A beachside buffet lunch as well as other complimentary dining options will be available while in Coco Cay. Room service is available 24/7, and there is no charge when ordering a continental breakfast. Yes, you can have coffee delivered to your room when you wake up! There is a nominal charge for additional items ordered at any time of day or night (total of about $9 per order…yes, an order may include as many items as you like for a flat rate)
On a cruise, you will not be thirsty. Non-carbonated beverages such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, flavored waters, lemonade, and more are complimentary. Tap water is safe to drink on cruises. Sodas (or pop if you live in the Midwest), alcoholic beverages, bottled water, freshly squeezed orange juice, and specialty coffees are available for an extra charge. A variety of drink packages are also available for purchase.

“This was not only my first wedding cruise, it was also the first cruise I have ever been on! My husband and I live quite far away from the other wedding guests: I think a cruise wedding was such a great way for us to meet, get to know, and spend time with the other guests so that by the wedding day, a wonderful sense of community was created”
